What We Offer

Boxing Classes Accrington

Accrington Boxing ClassesA truly efficient and deadly martial art, due to the fact that there is far less to focus on than other training systems. This allows the boxer to become better, quicker and focus all of his or her attention on speed and power in the hands.

All the defences for kickboxing come from boxing, and this age old fighting system has stood the test of time and improved its methods along the way. Diet and healthy living is a must for competitive boxers and because of this many things can be gained about food and nutrition, weight loss and body sculpting.

We offer professional instruction in the western art of boxing, underestimated in the martial arts world and often referred to as just "brawling". Many lessons can be learned from this direct form of combat.

Kickboxing Classes Accrington

Accrington Boxing ClassesWe also teach full contact kickboxing. Very similar to boxing in its rules, but which sadly does not get the full recognition that it desrves - a real tough sport, great for fitness, flexiblity and overall enjoyment. It can be learnt at our gym from from the age of from 5yrs old and have regular competitions for promising youngsters to take part in.

The fitness required for competative fighters is second to none and anyone with fitness and body toning in mind are at the right place. Although we have both professional and amateur fighters at our gym it isnt necessary to compete, just to get the best results for you. Dietry advice and lifestyle coaching from our professionals is available and has been well received by our current students.

Ladies Only Kickboxing Classes Accrington

Accrington Ladies Kick Boxing ClassesThe ladies only kickboxing class has proved to be very popular. So much so that it has probably become the most frequently attended class. Ladies of all abilities attend, from 14 to 50 years of age and there is a great raport between all. We are told that the classes have a real "feel good" factor and from the students' comments page you will see the benfits and changes it has made to various peoples' lifes.

Mrs Alison Curtis exclusively instructs the ladies classes. Alison has over 10 years' training experience and has helped her husband Jason train for over 20 professional contests and achieve 6 national titles. The classes began in May 2007 after various requests for a ladies only class. Some of the ladies have managed to pass 5 or 6 gradings having initially only taking up the sport for health and fitness reasons. Some have even shown an interest to compete at an amateur level, and did so on Kokoro Promotions' first event at St. Paul's Working Men's Club in Blackburn on 21st Novemeber 2008.

Ninjutsu: An Ancient Martial Art From Japan.

Masaaki HatsumiLittle is known about this art compared to its more common counterparts, however it is where many of today’s practices stem from. In ninjutsu there are grappling and throwing techniques and many striking methods. It is all encompassing and has even more variation than today’s MMA (mixed martial arts).

Ninjutsu is strictly non-competitive and deals with all forms of attack, including bottles, knives, bats and multiple attackers.

Grandmaster Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi is the person responsible for ninjutsu being introduced to, and developed in the western world, and has travelled to Britain and Europe many times to teach and pass on the techniques.

The Ninja families originally taught this art from birth and therefore there are many games to develop balance, coordination and confidence. For this reason we allow children to attend from the age of three.

If you are interested in any of our classes, please don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
